Cangon Stud Farm co-owned Group 2 winner Lady In Pink has been retired to stud and is set to be covered by Ole Kirk in her first breeding season.

Purchased for $160,000 by Malua Racing at the 2022 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale, Lady In Pink went on to amass $662,660 in earnings following 25 career starts which netted five wins and seven placings under the guidance of Leon & Troy Corstens and Will Larkin.

A winner at two and successful at distances ranging from 1200m to 2000m, the highlight victory of Lady In Pink’s prominent career came in the Group 2 MRC Tristarc Stakes (1400m) as a 4-year-old. The daughter of Pariah also finished runner-up in SAJC Queen of the South Stakes (Gr.2) and Ballarat Cup (LR), and third in the VRC Matriarch Stakes (Gr.2).

Lady In Pink raced in the livery of Cangon Stud Farm matriarch Jennifer Mackay. The same colours were also supported by the likes of Miss Kariba (STC Canterbury Stakes, Gr.2), Katima (AJC Silver Shadow Stakes, Gr.2) and Golden Millennium (AJC Keith Mackay Handicap, LR).

Lady In Pink had one start as a 5-year-old, finishing down the track in a typically competitive renewal of the Group 3 Aurie’s Star Handicap down the Flemington straight in August. A decision was subsequently made to retire to her to stud and make a booking to Australia’s Champion First Season Sire of 2024/205.
