Join the Cangon way

Due to its close proximity to the NSW coastline and its geographical separation from the Upper Hunter Valley, the property enjoys an acutely superior rainfall to the major stallion stations of the greater Scone region arterially close-by.

In actual terms, Dungog enjoys an average rainfall of approximately 1200mm per annum compared to the 700mm annual average of the Upper Hunter, virtually making Cangon Stud Farm drought-proof all year round.

Paddocks range from alluvial flats through to steeper contours with provision made for colts/stallions, with purpose built runs one acre in size — all with shelters and made from post and rail for safety.

All paddocks are seeded annually with clover and rye grass to provide quality pasture. Horses are watered by a system of troughs connected to the domestic supply providing clean and fresh water to all paddocks. With a constant annual rainfall, the farm is virtually drought free.
